MusicFest 2001 Nashville June 14-16

The premiere event of Independent MusicFest 2001 slated for Nashville, TN, June
14-16 will bring together record labels, artists, promoters, and talent buyers
of all styles and types of Independent music.
"We have had tremendous response from the Independent Market," said
Steven B. Riley, owner of V2 Productions and promoter of the three day event.
"Most people have no concept of the size of the Independent Music
Industry. There are over 2,000 Independent labeIs with an average of five
artists per label.
Most of the states are represented by Music Associations with significant
memberships. With the development of the Internet , the Internet Radio shows,
and Internet Magazines, the potential for an Independent artist to promote and
sell product is unlimited. Our event is aimed to serve this market
and to bring this very large family together " he added.
This is an opportunity for artists to perform for promoters, DJs, and
followers of Independent Music. There will be continual showcasing from 9
a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. Special Independent guests will headline evening
events from 7 until 9 p.m. According to Steven B, "This is the
perfect
opportunity for Independent artists to network their talent. The event is
open to signed and unsigned artists and/or bands alike."
MusicFest will be held at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium, one of the
city's largest and more popular event facilities. With a room of 63,000
sq. ft., there is ample space for exhibits, booths, and a stage for live shows.
Workshops will be held throughout the event and are available at no cost for the
Independent Music Industry beginner to the seasoned pro. Radio and
television coverage will be available at the event Communication Center. There
is no admission charge to the event.
