At DigitalCuts.com, we care about your privacy and security. Because of this, we have taken extra care to address specific issues in developing our web site.

Cookies

The DigitalCuts.com web site uses cookies. There is no other way to utilize the shopping cart system efficiently. These cookies DO NOT collect any meaningful information about you, your computer files or anything else. The system simply keeps track of the purchases in your shopping cart as you move around the site. Otherwise, with multiple shoppers, it is difficult to keep your purchases separate from other shoppers and visitors. 

Email and Mailing Lists

We do not collect our customers email addresses or other data without your knowledge.  The only data collected is when you specifically and knowingly give us that information.  We do not use that information to spam or  send any unsolicited e-mail to anyone.  We maintain, but do not sell email addresses of our customers.  We do not provide or sell customer lists to any third party.  Email addresses are maintained only within our site and are primarily for your convenience when you return for any subsequent purchase.  From time to time, we may send newsletters to customers informing you of special offers and updates on the web site.  You may request that your name be taken off our mailing list bu sending an email to customerservice@digitalcuts.com

Credit Card Transactions

DigitalCuts.com utilizes hidden credit card numbers and does not store those numbers in a server directory with browse capability. When you make a purchase using your credit card, the credit card number is stored on our server for archival purposes only.  All information of this type is encoded and secured.  It is never made available to anyone.  You may order with confidence and trust. In addition, most credit card companies protect you against fraudulent use of your credit card by unauthorized persons. Recent studies show that the vast majority of credit card fraud is committed at in retail stores, in restaurants and over the phone. 

Return Policy

Damaged or defective items

If you receive a damaged or defective item, we will promptly send you a replacement of that product. You will not be charged any additional shipping or handling fees for replacement shipments.

Damaged jewel box or cassette case

If a CD jewel box or cassette case arrives cracked or damaged, we will be happy to mail you a replacement.

Inventory Availability and Backorders

Inventory information

Inventory information is available for all domestic (U.S.) music titles. This information, which appears in your Shopping Cart, can be used to estimate the likelihood that a title will be shipped immediately after you place your order.

Backorders (out of stock items)

Backordered merchandise includes items that are not currently in stock. In most cases, these items are on order from the artist and bands. If an item is backordered, we will notify you via email.  When we receive the product, we will notify you via email and ship it to you promptly.  Backordered domestic (U.S.) titles usually come into stock within 1 to 4 weeks but can occasionally take longer. If your order is not ready to ship within 30 days, we will send you an update via email.  If for any reason we determine that a backordered item will no longer be available at all, we notify you immediately by email, cancel the item from your order and delete the item from our catalog.

Handling Charges

DigitalCuts.com does not impose any handling charges.

Shipping and Delivery

At this time, DigitalCuts.com ships all merchandise via U.S. Postal Priority Mail or regular U.S. Mail.  There is a flat shipping fee that is charged for all 50 U.S. States, regardless of location.  Delivery is usually within a week for regular shipping and 3-4 days for Priority Mail.
