SVEN
Scratching and screeching out unimaginable, explosive
sounds, Sven is the lead guitarist in 0% Vitamin A. Sven kindly bestows
upon the earth his high pitched vocals that takes music fans to another
planet. Sven remembers 0% Vitamin A band members meeting as brothers
genetically grown in a science lab dish from the same fertilized egg that
had undergone horrible radiation experiments. If you like another version,
at a birthday party they all reached for the same Rice Krispie Treat at
the same time. While Sven attacks his guitar, he hurdles on top of tables
and revolves around the stage emitting electrifying vibes that hypnotizes
the audience. Sven's comment on comparing 0% Vitamin A to other bands is,
"No other artist would allow us to compare them to us." Whatever
is playing on your radio right this second such as Fleetwood Mac has
influenced his ecliptic style.
FLIP ALMOST
Being a Florida native, Flip_Almost exemplify his thrashing
Sonic Youth sound on the guitar. This unpredictable member of the band can
often show you how to eat and drink while still playing his rhythm guitar.
Flip_Almost gives 0% Vitamin A a cool and melodic noise that all kinds of
people have learned to enjoy. Flip_Almost, being involved in an outer body
experience, vaguely remembers when 0% Vitamin A started. When asked to
compare the music of 0% Vitamin A, Flip_Almost response was, "I don't
compare the style of music of the 0% Vitamin A to Sonic Youth, but I do
like how Sonic Youth knows how to rock out." He doesn't have any
favorite artist because he enjoys people who express themselves in
whatever they are doing.
SAKI SOUP
Saki Soup is a mixture of a little of water, and a lot of
erratic sounds on vocals and bass guitar. His lyrics are captivating and
piercing to one's soul with a loudness and funkiness that are like no
other Indiana native. Saki Soup and the other band members started in the
summer of their junior year of high school in June of 1994. "It was
forced upon me at an early age when my mom made me take piano lessons at
age seven", replied Saki Soup. Furthermore, this event personally
influenced him to create his own style of music in 0% Vitamin A. Artists
such as the Beatles, Madonna, Stevie Wonder, and Nirvana inspire Saki
Soup. Having been together for over five years, Saki Soup's has
categorized 0% Vitamin music as, "Loud, funky, rock, jazzy, and just
a little alternative".
CORNBREAD KING
Let the name, Cornbread King, fool you! This
drummer and his back up vocals in 0% Vitamin A help gives this band
"oomph". Demolishing his sticks at lighting speed, Cornbread
King gives a "punkish" style that makes 0% Vitamin A, a complete
band. Being from a small town in Georgia, Cornbread King's motivation to
play drums was to release tension. 0% Vitamin A began their journey when
Cornbread King met Flip_Almost at the boy's club and Saki Soup from school
at the age of ten. The three desired to play in a band, but did not have
any equipment. First, Saki Soup and Cornbread King got a drum set together
at a music shop, and later on in the year, Saki Soup got a bass and amp
from a friend of his, and finally we began to play. Sven, playing guitar
and being a friend of Flip_Almost, audition in our noise sessions. With
this new addition, the sounds that emanated from Flip_Almost's basement
created 0% Vitamin A's evolutionary music. Cornbread King compares their
music to the Pixies and the Police with a quite amusing variation and
twist of rock and roll that generates all kinds of people.
