| The music on this cassette reflects three cultures, melted together on the island of Puerto Rico: the Spanish, the African, and the Taíno Indian. Andres Castro is accompanied by the folkloric group Yabucoa, directed by Silvano Carrillo. Their music is authentically "jíbara" but the themes have taken on universal tones. Yabucoa lives in the Hartford area. |
