Carol Martini has been a singer-songwriter since the age of 11,
having given up the violin for the more songwriter-friendly guitar.
Carol's first musical success came as a writer/performer of the title
track on one of the first Golden West College Recording Arts albums,
"Take My Heart." Her career has included a 1980s
stint in England "putting a band together" a la Chryssie Hynde.
Upon her return to the States, she began recording her vocal chords
off. This led to the 1990 release of her self-produced first album,
"The Story So Far."
Encouraged by the success of her first album, she release her second,
"Piece By Piece" in 1992. Both albums received
extensive airplay and acclaim on college radio stations in the United
States and Canada, as well as some airplay in Europe. She has
recently completed the recording of her newest CD, "Modern
Loneliness" which includes 17 original songs, chosen from among
the 150 new pieces written since "Piece By Piece." Most
weekend nights she can be found performing - unplugged - at local coffee
houses and small clubs.
