Gina Sohl Brown began her music career in 1992, when
she co-founded one of Washington State's premiere Christian Bands,
Overflowin'. It was there that she learned not only musical skills, but
the importance of music ministry. Now, she has gone solo with the release
of her CD, CALLING. Armed with the message of how we are to answer and
follow the calling that God has in each of our lives. Her mission is to
uplift, encourage, and challenge the body of Christ.
Born into a non-traditional family she found solace from all of the chaos
in music. At the age of eight she became a Christian thanks to the
witnessing of her grandmother. She found strength and wisdom in Jesus that
helped her overcome physical and verbal abuse that she had received. At
the age of twelve she discovered a gift in music and in writing. It was
then that she vowed to use these God given talents, and life to serving
the kingdom of Christ.
She has since been active in her church and community. Participating in
worship teams, choirs, musical productions, and volunteering in various
organizations. As a member of Overflowin' she had the opportunity to
perform and minister in churches, coffee houses, mission ships, town
festivals, Christian clubs, camps, Radio, and Television.
Gina attends Day Creek Chapel , where Rick Miles resides as pastor, along
with her husband and two children. |
