Sharp Practise is an
original, upbeat rock group with a unique sound, great lyrics and music
that will keep you humming their tunes for weeks. The band’s ambition is
to put ‘proper songs played well by real musicians’ back at the top of
pop charts around the world.
The group has had a management contract with Top Knotch Management for
the past eighteen months. A deal has also been signed with Noteworthy
Productions to enhance the band’s existing profile in the USA.
Sharp Practise is built around Nigel Clothier, lead vocals, who
writes all of the group’s material, and its line-up features a strong
selection of talented musicians. These are Tony Turrell, keyboards,
and Katherine Crowe, backing vocals, Jason Matlock, drums,
and Kevin Butcher, guitars.
The band has been Featured Artist of the Week on Amazing CDs and on
Make It Big Records. The debut album, ‘Hiya’, spent four weeks
in the top ten of Amazing CDs’ album chart. Mark Daghorn produced it.
The debut single, ‘Eve Got Adam’ reached number 2 on the Global
Internet Chart and got extensive airplay on independent radio in the UK.
It also appeared on the compilation album ‘Millennium II’ which
featured the ‘best unsigned bands in the world’.
