"As a
Christian musician, I am becoming more aware that there is a great
responsibility in representing God the Father, God the Son & God the
Holy Spirit in song. My life must reflect that which I write and sing so
that those who hear will be drawn to the Father. It’s my desire that
many enjoy the music I have been blessed to create yet, I realize that it
is more important that Jesus Is glorified and lifted up. I want to see Him
glorified and In seeing this I will see "the kingdoms of this world
become the kingdoms of God."
Many people are searching for inner peace, fulfillment
or personal desires. At one time, Wallace Rahming was no different
than any other in the ongoing quest for peace in this world system. Now
after ten years of music ministry and five recorded projects, Wallace
reaffirms his wish to proclaim the Good News in song. The latest
release "SALVATION (WR-7275)" is a musical montage of the
Gospel message in the contemporary Christian style. It musically explains
why salvation is necessary for all men, and how to obtain it.
There is not much unusual about Rahming’s history
other than the fact he is now writing and recording Christian music.
Having studied music from a very young age and being influenced by styles
ranging from classical to classic Motown, Rahming pursued a possible
career in the secular music industry. He produced his first (and last)
secular recording "Come By Here" in fall of 1990. "I
had always believed my years of musical instruction and training would
lead me to a career in the secular industry," says Rahming "I
now understand that God had and has a purpose for my life. He was
equipping me with the knowledge and skills to accomplish that
purpose." In addition to gaining music knowledge, Rahming also
gained knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The following year,
Wallace released his first Christian recording "In His Loving Care"
(1991) followed by a full-length album project "Jesus
Saved" a few months later. Two full-length recordings, "Return
To Me" (1993) and the successful "STAND" (1997)
would later follow.
The new release "SALVATION" is the
first Rahming recording released on compact disc and his most successful
to date. A native of Fort Pierce, Florida, Rahming has ministered Praise
& Worship in local area churches and has made several appearances on
WTCE channel 21 (a TBN affiliate). His music is currently in rotation on
local radio stations such as WCNO 39.9 Christian radio and WFLM
104.7, The Flame.
