1980 to 2000. 20 years. A milestone to be proud of. That is what Antics is celebrating 20 years and over 3,000 shows since 1980. Add in that there are still 3 original members and it is even more of a milestone. A four-piece, keyboard oriented, guitar driven blues rock powerhouse, Antics delivers high energy blues and blues rock in the style of Stevie Ray Vaughan and Eric Clapton. Their critically acclaimed debut CD, "We’re Just Bad Boys" shows the band’s blues roots and their diversity. With a taste of rock, pop and rhythm and blues, it quickly found it’s way onto radio stations all across the Midwest. "Don’t Be Lonely", "Chase Those Blues Away" and especially "Bad Boys" got quite a bit of airplay. But that was in 1994—1996. Now with the advent of the Internet and with the new MP3 technology, "Bad Boys" is once again being heard... .only this time it is on the Internet charts and you can download and listen to it with your computer. Since late in the summer of 1999, their web site has had nearly 10,000 "hits" or visitors!!! |
