"A Rose, A Prayer and A Song" (a musical version of the Rosary) and "Now is the Moment". She was invited by John Michael Talbot to join CAM (Catholic Association of Musicians). Sylvia’s music is light and uplifting which inspires many to pray and sing. Sylvia was inspired to compose music to sing the rosary after hearing about the Blessed Virgin Mary’s daily visits to Medjugorje. People of all ages like to sing and pray along as the flute, violins, guitars and piano ring out prayers to Our Heavenly Mother. "A Rose A Prayer and A Song" has a musical interlude at the beginning of each decade so that you can announce each mystery as you need. "Now is the Moment" features original songs inspired through prayer that might help you hear what Mary and Jesus would want to say to you in your times of need. The contemporary arrangements soothe your heart and set the mood for you to rejoice and sing. John Michael Talbot invited Sylvia to join CAM in 1996. Through this association, Sylvia has honed her writing skills and is ready to record another album. Sylvia has sung at numerous conferences, retreats and youth events throughout the US, including World Youth Day ’93, Youth 2000. Sylvia can tailor her program to any venue. A ROSE, A PRAYER, AND A SONG - I was, I think, one of the first people ever to hear this recording, which was originally on a cassette tape. I've listened to it so much it will not longer play anything more than a muffled hum, which is sad because it is one of the few truly transcendent moments of spiritual expression that I have ever heard. To the modern American Catholic, who is more likely to hear Marty Haugen than Palestrina at Sunday Mass, Sylvia's arrangements will gratify. While kept to a simple, almost understated arrangement, there is a breath of melodic variety that I find most refreshing. The music adds nicely to a prayerful atmosphere, without getting in the way of entering a truly meditativ3 state.
